During our Seychelles trip with children, we spent four nights in a suite at Constance Lemuria. The resort's location alone is spectacular: tropical vegetation, secluded coves, giant granite rocks, and the turquoise waters of the Indian Ocean. Nevertheless, it was ultimately the incredible natural setting and the many special experiences for children that made our stay unforgettable.

Our Verdict Upfront: Is Constance Lemuria Family-Friendly?

Yes – and far beyond a classic Kids Club.

Constance Lemuria combines one of the most beautiful locations on Praslin with beautiful accommodations, several restaurants, and a children's program that doesn't feel like casual hotel childcare. Children can get creative, cook, play, explore nature, and get up close with animals.

We particularly liked:

• the lovingly designed Kids Club with great activities like T-shirt painting

• the giant tortoises right next door,

• our shared pizza-making class,

• the secluded natural beaches,

• the comfortable shuttle to Anse Georgette,

• the various water sports options,

• as well as the quality of the food and the selection of restaurants

Constance Lemuria is, of course, a luxury resort and therefore not a budget tip. However, families get a place where parents can relax and children can have genuine vacation experiences.

Spectacular Location: In the Heart of Praslin's Nature

Constance Lemuria is located in the northwest of Praslin. The resort can be reached from the island's airport in approximately 15 minutes by car.

What immediately impressed us was how the resort blends into the landscape. The suites and villas are also deliberately integrated into the lush surroundings. The Junior Suites are just a few meters from the beach, while the larger Senior Suites offer ample space for families. I loved being able to walk a few steps to the sea with my coffee in the morning to start the day.

The Kids Club at Constance Lemuria: Our Biggest Family Highlight

The Kids Club was one of the absolute highlights of the hotel for us. It's called Coconut Tribe and is generally for children between four and eleven years old. Our children had never stayed in a Kids Club on their own before. They never wanted to, and we never forced it. Here, it was different from the very first second. They didn't want to leave! And I think that pretty much says it all.

What makes it so special: It's not just about keeping children busy for a few hours. There's a dedicated pool, outdoor areas, play areas, craft activities, animals, and various themed activities. For younger children between four and six years old, there's also a fantasy area with playhouses, small kitchens, and workshops.

Our Pizza-Making Class

A particularly nice program item was our Pizza-Making Class with the children. The kids got small aprons and hats, and of course, immediately felt like little chefs. Really great and cute!

Depending on the program, children can also prepare ice cream or smoothies, for example.

Giant Tortoises Right Next to the Kids Club

As if the Kids Club alone wasn't exciting enough, right next to it awaits an experience that can hardly be surpassed by a normal playground: the giant tortoises. Children can observe the animals and, during supervised sessions, even feed them.

Sea Turtles and Conservation at Grand Anse Kerlan

Constance Lemuria is not only naturally located in the heart of nature, but also actively engages in its protection.

The pristine Grand Anse Kerlan is one of the last places on Praslin where sea turtles still come ashore to lay their eggs. The resort employs its own Turtle Manager for this purpose.

Between October and February, guests can, with a lot of luck, discover the tracks of nesting sea turtles or learn more about their protection. A sighting can never be guaranteed, of course, but if you go to the beach between 9 PM and 5 AM, you might be able to observe a turtle laying eggs.

The beach is correspondingly natural and conveys a completely different feeling than a perfectly organized hotel beach. Here, it becomes clear what "luxury in harmony with nature" can truly mean.

Anse Georgette: The Big Advantage for Hotel Guests

For many travelers, Anse Georgette is one of the most beautiful beaches on Praslin or even the entire Seychelles. The bay is surrounded by dense vegetation and large granite rocks, the sand is light, and the water glows in the most beautiful shades of blue.

For us, the journey there was already a highlight: As guests of Constance Lemuria, we could take the hotel's private shuttle across the expansive resort grounds. Especially with children, beach bags, and in tropical temperatures, this was a huge advantage.

Upon arrival at the bay, you won't find a typical hotel beach, but a secluded natural setting. However, there are also a few simple beach bars offering drinks, smoothies, or fruits.

Water Sports for Active Families

Families who enjoy being active on vacation will also find plenty of variety at Constance Lemuria. Free water sports include: kayaks, stand-up paddleboards, and pedal boats.

On land, there are also tennis courts, beach volleyball, a fitness area, yoga, and a very, very great spa.

Four Nights in a Suite: Plenty of Space for a Family Vacation

We spent four nights in a suite during our stay.

The Junior Suite is 52 square meters and officially designed for two adults and one child. The Senior Suite measures 115 square meters and accommodates two adults and two children. It also features a separate living area, an additional shower room, and a particularly large terrace or balcony.

For a family of four, the Senior Suite is therefore particularly interesting. Depending on the age of the children and personal space requirements, other room combinations or a pool villa may also be an option.

Dining at Constance Lemuria: A Culinary Highlight Too

Constance Lemuria also impressed us with its dining options. The restaurants vary in their offerings and locations, so there's no boredom over several days.

Children's Menus and Flexible Choices

Special dishes are available for children. Overall, we found the culinary offerings to be high-quality, varied, and yet family-friendly. Our tip: Reserve your preferred restaurants as early as possible.

A Resort Where Parents Can Also Enjoy Their Vacation

A really good Kids Club doesn't just mean fun for the children. It also gives parents a little time for themselves, and there's plenty to do with that at Constance Lemuria.

The resort boasts the only 18-hole championship golf course in the Seychelles. Green fees are included for hotel guests. And even for those who don't play golf, the sunset view overlooking Anse Georgette from Tee 15 is not to be missed. For us, an absolute highlight of the trip!

In addition to the Kids Club, the beaches, and water sports, there are a few other points that make Constance Lemuria particularly interesting for a family trip:

Short airport transfer: The drive from Praslin Airport takes approximately 15 minutes. After a long journey, this is very pleasant with children.

Excursions directly through the resort: The hotel can organize boat trips to nearby islands, bays, and snorkeling spots, as well as nature experiences on Praslin. A trip to Anse Curieuse is so worth it! For us, the most beautiful day of our Seychelles trip.

Proximity to Vallée de Mai: Praslin's famous palm forest is excellent for a family outing and can be easily combined with a stay at Constance Lemuria.

Exceptional wildlife: In addition to giant tortoises and sea turtles, children can discover fruit bats, peacocks, and other animals typical of the Seychelles on the premises.
