At Oskar Stubai Apartments in Neustift in the Stubai Valley, Scandinavian design meets the Tyrolean mountains, well-thought-out family-friendliness meets the genuine hospitality of the Holzknecht family, and with the new Alma apartment, another option has been added that we particularly want to recommend to you.
Whether it's summer with mountain lakes, hikes and the legendary Stubai Super Card, or winter with one of the most snow-sure family ski resorts in the Alps – the Stubai Valley and the Oskar Stubai Apartments are a year-round destination for families. We'll show you why.
At a glance: Three apartments, three characters
At Oskar Stubai, three lovingly furnished apartments await you, each with its own character, but the same clear, cozy Scandi look:
-
Apartment Alma (new) – 2 bedrooms, ideal for families with two children
-
Apartment Annie – 2 bedrooms, generously sized
-
Apartment Alban – 1 bedroom, perfect for smaller families or couples with one child
All apartments feature a fully equipped kitchen, comfortable living areas in a Nordic-Alpine style, and the relaxed "Lagom" atmosphere for which Oskar Stubai is known.
New: Apartment Alma with private outdoor sauna and swimming lake around the corner
Apartment Alma is the latest addition to the Oskar Stubai portfolio: freshly renovated and equipped with a unique selling point: a private outdoor sauna, exclusively available to you as guests. After a day on the mountain or in the water, there's hardly anything more wonderful than warming up here in peace, while enjoying the view of the Stubai mountains.
The house where Alma is located is a little older than the main house, which was newly built in 2019 – however, the apartment itself has been completely renovated and furnished with the same high-quality, Scandinavian-Alpine interior that characterizes Oskar Stubai.
Another plus: A swimming lake with a large playground, petting zoo, football pitch, and beach volleyball court is only about a three-minute walk away. For families with children, this is practically a second living room right on the doorstep – all without a car.
The main house: Annie and Alban in the middle of the village
If you prefer a central location, the main house (built in 2019) is the perfect choice. From here, you can reach all shops, restaurants, and village life in Neustift on foot. The two apartments Annie and Alban are also located directly on the riverbank, just a few minutes' walk from the lifts.
Both apartments feature a fully equipped kitchen, private bathrooms with showers, a washing machine, and access to a shared sauna and children's playroom in the house – a real plus on rainy days or after a long day of skiing.
Prices: Family vacation that also feels special when it comes to the budget
Prices at Oskar Stubai vary depending on the apartment, season, and amenities – and are particularly worthwhile for families during periods when the Stubai Super Card is included (more on that in a moment):
| Apartment |

All prices per night, as of the 2026 season. Prices apply to periods when the Stubai Super Card is included in the overnight stay.
And this is where the real trump card lies for us: If you book at Oskar Stubai in summer, you get the Stubai Super Card included with your accommodation, which practically means the entire leisure program of the valley is thrown in for free. If you calculate this for a family with two children, the overnight price quickly becomes a real bargain compared to many other Alpine destinations.
Summer in the Stubai Valley: Almost the entire leisure program included
Summer in the Stubai Valley is also so popular with families because the Stubai Super Card in 2026 is still valid until the beginning of November, thus covering the entire autumn holidays. As guests of a participating establishment like Oskar Stubai, you automatically receive the card, which is valid from your arrival to your departure day.
What you get with it:
-
Free travel on all four mountain railways in the valley: Stubai Glacier, Elferbahnen Neustift, Schlick 2000 and Serlesbahnen (one ascent and descent per day each)
-
Free admission to the valley's swimming pools, plus two entries per week of stay for three hours each to the StuBay adventure pool
-
Free rides on the Stubaitalbahn and the Innsbruck public buses between Mutterberg and Innsbruck
- One ride per week on the summer toboggan run in Mieders
- Various discounts on other excursion destinations in the valley
This means that as a family, you have virtually the entire leisure offering of the Stubai Valley included in your overnight stay – from the glacier cable car to the outdoor pool. The Stubai Super Card 2026 is valid until November 1st, so it also includes the autumn holidays.
Winter in the Stubai Valley: Snow-sure and affordable for families
As soon as it gets colder, the Stubai Valley shows its second side. The Stubai Glacier is one of the highest and most snow-sure ski resorts in the Alps and usually starts its season – depending on the weather – already at the end of September or in October, often just in time for a day of skiing during the autumn holidays.
Particularly attractive for families: Children up to 10 years old ski for free in all ski resorts in the valley – including the glacier – when accompanied by a paying parent. This makes the Stubai Valley one of the most family-friendly and affordable ski destinations in Austria, especially for families with several children.
Our conclusion
For us, the Oskar Stubai Apartments combine exactly what makes a special family vacation: thoughtful design instead of a standard holiday apartment, short distances to mountains, lakes and village life – and with the newly renovated Apartment Alma, now even a private sauna and a bathing lake right on the doorstep. In addition, a price-performance ratio that is hard to beat in summer due to the included Stubai Super Card, and a winter where children up to 10 years old can hit the slopes for free.
